This is excellent! I’m a nurse in an adult day care facility. Some of our clients live alone and it’s so important for their children who don’t live with them to be aware of parents declining self care capabilities. I’m going to share this with the families.

Unfortunately, even if you see these signs, some parents, like mine, refuse to admit they need help, and refuse help. It is very frustrating!

It can be so frustrating, for sure. I definitely ran into many times when my dad wouldn’t do what I thought would help.

Thank you for this! As a 65 year old it also helped me recognize some of my older adult behavior and struggles, and it will certainly help with my MIL.
